Donderdag! 2020-2021 Season Details:
After heartfelt discussion and debate, the Donderdag! board members have decided live clinics will not be conducted at the Donderdag! Park this year. This is in light of the COVID-19 situation in Kansas. Since this is our 10th year as an organization serving families, we were looking forward to celebrating with the many families we love. This was a difficult decision to make.
So here’s the plan. We’ll be posting regularly to the Donderdag! Facebook page. We’ll challenge families in the community to visit the park as often as possible, following local COVID-19 guidelines. You’ll be encouraged to enjoy the challenges of grass, sand, boulders, and slopes. Strava challenges will be posted for riders to participate in virtual racing. Additionally, videos illustrating the Skill Sets we teach every year will be posted to help inspire your continued practice of excellent bike skills and good sportsmanship. We invite you to post YOUR videos of your time at the park too! It’s our intention to keep the community as inspired as possible in the middle of what is a very weird time in America.

As the founder and executive director of the Donderdag! program, I’ve been looking forward to celebrating our 10th year. It means a lot to me, I consider this community an extended family, as do many of you. Inspired by this community, the board members, volunteers and I will continue to serve, knowing this is only a temporary situation. Cyclocross has always demanded courage, strength, and the willingness to give our best, this cyclocross season is no exception.
